Admin Tool Instructions

  1. Go to: yourwebsite.com/admin and type in your user and password information.
  2. Make sure you are using a pc and internet explorer for your browser.
  3. Select the file or page you wish to update.
  4. You will see a window within a window(HTML Editor), use the scroll bars to access content you wish to edit.
  5. Now place the mouse cursor infront of the content you wish to edit.
  6. Select the content by holding the left mouse button pressed and drag.
  7. The content will be highlighted with the dark blue background.
  8. Now click the appropriate formatting tool to format the text.
  9. The buttons with the appropriate functions are listed below.
Tips

A) Avoid using tabs.
B) Don't copy and paste rich text format, you may copy simple text into the admin tool then use the tool to enhance the text.
C) To insert a line break, press Enter key while holding down Shift key.

Buttons with Description

Save:This button is used the save the edited content. Once the page is edited press this button to get reflected in the original HTML file.
Reset:This button is used to reset the page before you save the changes. If you want to revert back the modifications done, press this button. (NOTE: Once you save the changes by pressing the Save button it cannot be reset!)
Preview:This button is used to view the changed content in the new browser window.
Back:This button is used to go back to the Web Site listing page.
Logout:This button is used to purge the login session. So that other’s can not change the HTML page. Don’t forget to click the logout button once changes are done.
Help:This button is used to display the basic help information.
 
 
This button is used to make the selected text in to appear in bold (For selecting the text, place the move pointer at the staring, press the left button and drag till end).
This button is used to make the selected text in to appear in italics.
This button is used to make the selected text in an underlined one.
This button is used to make the selected text as left aligned one.
This button is used to make the selected text as justified one.
This button is used to make the selected text as right aligned one.
This button is used to make the selected text as ordered list of numbers.
This button is used to make the selected text with bullets instead of numbers for the list.
This button is used to make the selected text to move left (Decrease Indentation).
This button is used to make the selected text to move right (Increase Intdentation).
This button is used to make the selected text as a anchor (i.e. link to the new page). After selecting the text clicks this button. A popup window will come. Enter the full URL (http://www.google.com) and click ok. The selected text will become an anchor.
FormattingIn this selection box, select the appropriate heading that to be reflected in the selected text.
Font, Size and ColorIn these selection boxes, select the appropriate font, size and color to be displayed.
